"The Abbey Window"
Submitted: Sat Jul 18 2009 3:44 pm [View artist's Gallery]
Taken: 07/13/2009
Artist Notes: The Abbey windows......taken inside the ruins of St. Hildas Abbey in Whitby UK. The Abbey is perched high on the cliffs overlooking Whitby Harbour and the North Sea coastlne. It was the inspiration for Bram Stokes character in his books 'Dracula'.

Taken with a Sony Cybershot DSC-T70 in auto mode, converted to B&W with a matt overlay and drop shadow frame. One of my best so far I think.....

• Very moody and "medieval" looking. I'm not always a fan of tilted perspective, but it seems to work here. [by mv on Jul 21 2009]
