St Hildas Abbey - 14th Centuary ruin sits on the cliff top overlooking Whitby Harbour and the North Sea. The Abbey was an inspiration to Bram Stokes who used the setting for his character 'Dracula'
A very dramtic and imposing ruin.....
Taken with a Sony Cybershot DSC-T70 and edited in Picnik - converted to B&W, added a matt overlay, Vignette and drop shadow frame to create the mysterious ambience one would expect to find amongst religious ruins |
